Is Faithful Companions licensed, bonded, & insured?
Yes! Our pet sitters have had thorough background checks and are licensed, bonded, and insured. We are insured as a company through Pet Sitters Associates. Plus, all of our sitters are first aid and CPR pet certified, as well as trained in how to administer medications.
How often do you come during the day?
We visit as often as you believe is necessary for the well-being of your pet. We do this to fit the need of the client.
What do you do while you are visiting?
We do whatever is necessary to make your furry baby as comfortable as possible. Our goal is for them to not even know you are gone! We typically do the following:
- Feeding
- Make sure there is fresh water
- Have play time
- Clean litter boxes
- Spend time loving on your baby
- Administer medication as needed
How long do visits last?
When you are away, we know your baby misses you. That is why we spend 30-40 minutes with them each time we visit. It doesn’t take long to do the necessary things like feeding and watering them. So, we spend the majority of our time just being with them. We know it’s important for them to have quality time with their human companions.
What are your fees?
Our services can be custom to fit your specific needs. We determine the prices based on what these needs are. But, as a baseline, we start our services at $18. We are happy to talk with you to figure out what your needs are. Please schedule your free 1-hour “Meet & Sniff” today!
What is a "Meet & Sniff"?
The “Meet & Sniff” is just our term for our first initial meeting session. Before we agree on to work together, we want to make sure that we are a good fit. We schedule a time to come out and meet you and your baby. We allow up to one hour for this meeting. But, best of all, we do this as a complimentary service. It is important to take the time to make sure that we all get along!
Will my fur babies see the same sitter every time?
We know that having consistency makes your fur babies lives less stressful. This is why we introduce each of our sitters to your babies. This way, if something happens to one of our us, your baby is still familiar with our other sitters. It makes things easier on everyone. We want to give you peace of mind knowing that all of our sitters are well qualified to look after your baby.
What time do you come for your visits?
Our goal is to keep with your fur babies normal schedule as much as possible. But, sometimes traffic or life happens, and as such, we give a time frame for our visits, rather than a specific time.
Visit time frames are broken down throughout the day. They are as follows:
Morning: Visits occur anytime between 7-9 a.m.
Midday: Visits occur anytime between 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Midday visits are great for people who work and want their pets to have a potty break and a walk to break up the day.
Dinner: Visits occur anytime between 3-6 pm.
Bedtime: Visits occur anytime after 7:00 – 9:00 pm.
Of course, if your pet’s needs are different from what is listed above, we are more than happy to modify the visit schedule to accommodate them. This is especially true if your baby needs medication at specific times. Please let us know what works best for you.
Do you need a key to my home?
Yes, we do need a key. We actually request that you give us 2 working keys. This allows us to have a backup in case one gets lost.
Please make sure the keys are working properly. The key rings we use do not have any identifying information, in case they get lost. We do not rely solely on garage keypads to enter a home in case of electrical outage or improperly working devices.
What about my home's security?
We take the security of your home very seriously. We do everything we can to make sure that your fur babies and your home are as safe and secure as possible. If you have a security system, we will use it while you are away. We make sure that all the doors are locked after each of our visits. And, we also turn lights on and off and open and close blinds while you are away to make it look like you are actually at home.
Do you offer just dog walks?
Yes! We have many clients that just need us to take their babies out for a walk or some play time, and a potty break. It is a great way to keep your pup from getting bored. Please note that this is an additional fee. If it is too hot, we can’t walk a dog, or if the dog is aggressive.
